Messyshaw
Good luck to our Northern Ireland crews who are facing the 11th night bonfires in the middle of this heatwave. I was in Belfast this time last year and witnessed the most extraordinary bonfire structures I have ever seen Sadly, I had to fly home just prior to lighting up time, but it's clear this is a very sensitive but real risk Hope it all goes safely Link to comment
Carl
I was there last year and a Belfast Firefighter I knew showed me around all the areas. He showed me a housing estate where the bonfire they build is so large that the roofs of the houses burnt. They have replaced the roofs as you can see from the photo and created an area rather than it remaining an open field. Not sure it will last ? 1 Link to comment
