Full Time RDS

Hi guys, I'm a firefighter based in Scotland who is a duel contract (wt/rt) I live nearly 40 miles away from my station. I would just like to know if anyone could shed any light on the full time rural firefighter vacancies that will be out soon. Lots of conflicting reports saying that whole time can't go for it as it was only target specific to the retained. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have heard that they are only open to retained firefighters, basically they will be responsible for a retained station and will provide cover during the day to help boost numbers. They will also have to live within a certain distance to cover night time and weekend cover.
