Messyshaw
A Cumbria fire appliance had to follow a snow plough to this job in England's highest cafe. I have popped in there to warm up/dry out a few times after a hike in traditional 'local' weather! This is near Alston - a village in the news recently as its been snowed in for days with 22ft drifts. Running short of supplies including bottle gas, a military Chinook was bought in to deliver essential supplies. The road serving the cafe has been closed due to bad weather and now this! I dont suppose CFRS had a lot of water up there either. Lets hope they rebuild soon https://www.cumbriacrack.com/2018/03/06/firefighters-tackling-blaze-hartside-cafe/ Link to comment
Steve93
Seen this earlier on! Very popular in the summer months with motorcycles. The road up to the top is challenging at the best of times! Good effort by the appliance driver in those tricky conditions! Link to comment
