RDS Training Course

Hi Folks,

I have an assessment day in a couple of weeks and then, if passed, I have the 2 week initial training course in March 2018.  Can anybody let me know if recruits are paid for this course at all?  My employer is happy for me to attend but I have to take unpaid leave and this will leave a significant hole in  my pocket.  I don't have the sort of job where I can take annual leave (teacher).

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Yes you should be paid at the trainee rate for the duration of the course

Thanks Oscar Tango.  If I'm on residential, does that include nights or is it just for 8 hours-ish?
