Car under a 175 Ton Load with Persons Trapped.

Ok, where do you start here?: It sound like a training scenario from a twisted senior officer, but this is real

A RTC where a 175 ton load has fallen onto a car trapping three persons. Sadly the news report doesnt go into many details, other than two of them sadly died

Has your FRS got any kit that could lift this or is it simply order on heavy jacks or a crane from a contractor & wait?

Having watched the video my concern would be stabilising the load, it seems half on and half off the trailer so if lifting it up was even possible you risk the weight being shifted. First port of call would be to a USAR tac ad but my guess would be if it cant be lifted it would be a slow job of cutting it away and/or tunnelling through the object ( if thats even possible )

Non brigade equipment ordered sharpish for me, which wasn’t the question I know. Get a mobile crane down there and some heavy vehicle recovery specialists. Then working with the USAR crews, stabilise, space create and extricate

I don't think any UK service would have capacity to deal with that on their own, you would be calling in cranes and recovery operators I think.
