Firefighter Exchange in Canada

Hi all,  I’m not sure if this is the right forum, or even allowed but I’ll give it a go.

I was born in Scotland but moved to Canada when I was four years old, and I am currently a firefighter in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada.  We visited Scotland this summer and had a great time visiting family and exploring, and when we returned home we quickly realized how much we enjoyed the lifestyle and culture and how much we missed our big extended family.  

I’ve been given the ok by my chief to explore the possibility of a firefighter exchange, where we exchange positions and possibly houses for a year.    

Owen Sound is town of 22,000 people, it is on the water, close to ski hills, golf courses and a 2 hour drive to Toronto.   

I’m not sure if this exchange program is done in the uk, but if you are interested or could help me out with any information I would appreciate it.
