I’ve seen in the news that the UK has sent a contingent of 77 rescue personnel to the the crisis in Turkey. Information about who has gone and what they’re doing is pretty scant however. The only FRS I’ve seen officially mentioned is LFB who have sent 12 individuals.

Anyone got any more info or anywhere I can go to to get more updates about the work going on? Does anyone know of anyone who has gone?

4 from ScottishFRS. Know one of them. SFRS has a team that trains regularly. Not sure how they decide who goes though.

The Lincs Fire and Rescue Twitter account is posting regular updates and good information. Worth a look

Lincs have crew of 4 out there, Ash who is a GM did post a update that I saw earlier in video form.

Some well known friends from GMFRS have also gone too, headed by SM Martin Foran.

There is an amazing video on LinkedIn that sadly won’t let me copy or link showing them tunnelling into a building to reach one of the last people to be rescued (6 days after the quake).

You feel claustrophobic just watching it!
