Noddy
A quick google has failed to find what I am looking for. Does anyone know, or where I can find, historic pay scales for the fire service? I have been asked what I was paid when I joined (which was in 1998) but cannot remember. I recall being paid fortnightly for a few years but that is about it. Can anyone help? Link to comment
Messyshaw
The FBU publish salaries and changes for all ranks. Maybe they have an archive? I was definitely paid fortnightly when I first started. £36 per week I think 🤔 Link to comment

The LFB wage was £54pw. I came from a job that was £36pw and was the only one in my training squad to get more wages by joining up. Everyone else really grumbled but I was doubly happy. In the LFB and a 50% pay rise. 👍 Link to comment
