Charging other Brigades for Attendance

I remember reading on here about at least one brigade which was under-resourced and was often reliant on other brigades to offer assistance on major incidents.

This obviously carries a cost, is this passed on to the brigade that is being assisted?

I know that Hampshire charge both Dorset and Surrey - they never used to apparently. But, supposedly, (from Mr A. Manager) because we are resource rich and we'll always help out the other services were reducing their bordering stations/crewing/resources to essentially get parts of their patches covered at no cost. How true this is, I have no idea - but told first hand from those above.

Charging for otb attendance, has been in place and in use down our way for at least the last decade, with shrinking resources the ££ are larger now, in all directions !
