Thats definitely an accident report rather than a near miss for us.

In fact Im not sure the paperwork would be any different, its still a nightmare for a near miss, pretty much as hitting a concrete post in a pump or turning one over, the paper is the same.

 By 'near miss' I was not referring to the fire service definition. I meant in terms of the guy walking away from it, rather than ending up in a body bag

We all knew what you meant Messy, but with all the Health and Safety in the job these days, the terminology near miss should be renamed "close shave" in terms of the gent nearly meeting his maker
