Smoke Alarms and Young Children

Watchdog raised the issue tonight, that young children do not always hear or react to smoke alarms, due to the frequency of the sound from the alarm. The episode is currently available on the BBC iPlayer

Is this something you are aware of and does your Brigade / Service give any specific advice on?

My colleague at work took part (he had the 2 girls and boy) and they slept through it all, it surprised him seriously, I will have a chat with him and see what they advised off screen.
