Recruit Course at Fire Service College

Afternoon all,

I’m really pleased to say that I’ve been offered a Wholetime appointment and will be starting my recruit training in September. Has anybody else completed their initial recruit course at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh? 

Also, it says that there will be a full fitness assessment on day one of the course. Does anybody know what this consists of please? I’ve been training hard and passed all fitness assessments so far, so I’m hoping this will be ok. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated 😊

I completed my initial at moreton this year but didn’t have a fitness assessment, so can’t help you out on that. 

Im guessing it’ll involve running hose over and over as that’s a fire service favourite.
