Hi all,

I’ve left this until the last possible moment to post to minimise the chances of it going wrong... but this week I signed my contract to start training with London Fire Brigade on 24th September.

It’s been a long old journey (since last October) and a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but I’m now very much looking forward to getting stuck in. The pre-learning is making me pretty excited about the experience of training school, and I reckon this might be the longest three weeks of my life.

This forum has been an invaluable tool, so a massive thanks to all for contributing to it, and special thanks to @Carl for putting it together. I look forward to moving to ‘paying it forward’ in the future ?.

@JonnyHolbs I’ve decided to apply for On-Call where I live in Dorset.  Starting the recruitment process in the next few weeks.  Just missed the July recruitment drive so I’ve been itching to get going again!
