Wildfire firefighters

Evening all, 

has anyone got an experience of or know if it’s even a possibility to go out to US/Canada for a few weeks to “intern” (for lack of better word) with wildfire units out there?

And just to add to this, I hope everyone across the pond stays safe. Seen loads about the fire in jasper, Alberta. Absolutely tragic to lose a whole town

In Manchester, we send our FFs out to Catalonia on a regular basis. I guess this is cheaper than the US and their practices are more aligned to ours.

@Bob is the most qualified Wildfire member on here as far as I am aware.
